Subsequently placed under house arrest in Ratnagiri, he endured thirteen years of restricted movement. Studying law in the United Kingdom, he actively participated in groups like India House and the Free India Society, advocating revolutionary methods for achieving Indian independence. Savarkar faced British opposition, with one of his works, ‘The Indian War of Independence,’ being outlawed.

The movie ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,’ directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda and Utkarsh Naithani, aims to rectify historical misunderstandings surrounding Savarkar.
